Breezy, Breezy, Beautiful Saturday!

Hey everyone! Wat does my tittle remind you all of? yea I thought about it Saturday, it's sort of like "Easy, Breezy beautiful Covergirl" I meant to write Saturday but I didnt have time so now im here for the days I've missed. So my Saturday workout was sooo great! I was late got there around 8:25 and i started walkin for the first 5minutes then ran and walked for 2-2 intervals. Then at the first water break I started doin 2-1 runnin 2 and walkin 1. I caught with alot of you guys and laped some too. I had fun thou. Everyone was saying "hey u caught up," or "didnt we just see you?" I would laugh and say yea. I had calculated my time and I wanted to be in the parking lott at 9:55a.m. so I kept pushing myself I almost made it. I got there right at 10 and I said as long get by 10 im good. When I got to the parking lott I kept running til I got to the truck where everyone was, I was like "wats a lil more, it's not dat far of a distance." I finished 7 miles in 1hr and 35min and I'm so proud! this mornin I got up at 5:30a.m. and got to the gym alil after 6 for a female weight training class. I love it my trainer is great! I'll be goin back lata today for my milage and I'm either doin 6 or 7 miles today everyone yea! Oh and I bought some new workout clothes! I love them! I got this turqoise and black outfit and some more goods! yall will see it soon. Until next time have a nice day all my Marathoner friends! God Bless

Beautiful Saturday Morning for a Run:-)

Hi everyone!! I don't know about you all but I sure did have a great time out there this morning. The breeze was just right and it was so nice to see everyone after 2 weeks of not being with the group. My sister came out too and she noticed me speaking to everyone and everyone speaking to me so she said "Everyone's so friendly." I told her "yea we are a big group who's working together." I also added a new addition to my workouts which is running with 2lb weights. I got alot of "oohh she has weights" and "weights? i can't carry those I have enough to carry myself." It was funny and I just said "oh their not that bad, it's just 2lbs," with a smile"

I had an extremely great workout today!! I finally got to the gym around 5pm. when I was supposed to go after I got out of class around 1. I ate one time today at 11:30a.m. which was bad. I got on the tredmil first (the one that is basically like your are outside running) and I completed 5miles. I ran 3(everyother mile) and walked 2. :-) Then it was a little after 6 when I finished and I had planned on doing the spin fit class at 6:30. It lasted an hour and I really worked in their too! We did 45minutes of bike work and 15minutes of abs. Man those ab exercises were tuff some of them and I needed that. Hopefully I'll be a little sore tomorrow. I'm already a little though from the bike seat, but I'll be ok. I worked out from 5p.m. til about 7:30p.m. Well I finished and left really sweaty, cold and sleepy. Good night fellow marathoners!!

Great weekend Workout

Hello my fellow marathoners! I've missed talking to everyone and it's been like ten days since I was last on here. I've been working out everyday for the most part. I went out of town two weekends in a row so thats why my mom and I have not been meeting on Saturdays. We're back now and will definately be there on Saturday with God's help! I stayed at a hotel this weekend in Texas and we worked out one day walking each level of the hotel, and it's a huge hotel. The hotel has like two sides with floors going up to 14 on one side and 10 on the other. Anyways I ran stairs on the side with 10 then i ran back down. I tried to find my mom and our friend who was running with us but they were on the other side. So when I got in the elavator I saw them and they told me which floor they were on and I meet them. We walked around each floor twice and then ran up the stairs to the next level all the way to the 12th floor which was my floor. On that particular morning I got up at like 5:15a.m. I was so ready but everyone was asleep enjoyin those hotel beds so I went back to sleep. Then Sunday morning I got up around 6 and tried to get the crew together but again we went later around 9a.m. There is a fitness building called the Veranda and it's very nice. There are tvs and everything. We did 5miles and I ran alil over 2 and I did it all in an hour. I felt great afterwards and I also did abs and arm work. I feel a lil sore today. Bye!

Nice day but Cold!

It is sooo cold outside! I overslept for my 8:30 class. I was sleepin so good my goodness my bed was callin my name but I had to get up which I hated. Anyways I didnt workout yesterday at all which i hate but Im thinkin that I won't take off on Friday since I missesd yesterday. Ive been stayin on campus all week too and thats not usual for me cause Im normally at home. I will be workin out today at least once thou. My workouts are goin great! I love doin what I do! Early morning Scare

This morning we got out around 5:15 and it was just 4 of us. It was really foggy out and we could hardly see ahead of us. Well as we walked we saw a white cadillac that drove around a couple of times. When it did thou it never made a full circle and came back, the man would come after 5 or 10minutes. So we kept watch and tried to get da tag number. Come to find out it was a used car but we couldnt get the tag number. Anyway Yolanda started her 3rd mile the car cut her off when she was runnin and scared her. Then the same car cut us off as we were turnin to head the same way she was comin from. We waited on Yolanda and told her we betta go in and they said he had to have a motive for doin dat. I took off toward my house and told them to come on. Debrah drove Yolanda home and we went in too. I did my crunches in my room and finished my workout. Now im gettin ready to leave for school I jus had to write about this so people be careful when ur are out there PLEASE GO IN A GROUP, STAY TOGETHER,TAKE A CELL PHONE, KEEP SOME MACE, AND BE WATCHFUL AT ALL TIMES! Workin out and Gettin rid of Clothes

Hello out there in Marathon land! ive been on da computer a while now checkin n deletin mail. Today i did my crosstrainin for 40 minutes at the Walter Payton Gym i did crunches worked on biceps inner and outer thighs and swats. Saturday I did a total of 5miles cause i did 1 before i came to meet the group. My mom did a total of 8 cause she did 4 before meetin up wit da group.Anyways i did workout everyday except Friday cause its my off day. I was goin to run stairs but it didnt turn out like i planned so i still jus took off. I want to tell everyone about dis story in Empowering Women Magazine. The story was about gettin rid of old stuff..clothes. The story was called "dress for success." But the main things I got from it and want to tell u all is "your clothes make a statement. What are they saying about you? If it is outdated, no longer fits, or doesn't make you feel good when you wear it, let it go." That is soooo true we should definately get rid of the stuff if any of this is true and plus when we keep losin weight we wont have a choice! LOL i know i put on a skort yesterday and it was like so baggy n da front even thou i havent worn it n a long time probly since last August or so. I dont know about u all but I LOVE seein results like those! Good nite :-)
